The Amazing Race 15 week 7. “That’s ghetto.”
This is the Amazing Race!
Sam & Dan arrived first to the last pit stop. Now all the teams will fly to Stockholm and go to an amusement park and find a certain ride. They’re fighting from the off about driving and directions, and the one driving is a drama queen. Meghan & Cheyne have been together 4.5 years, and he still hasn’t proposed? She should dump him. Flight & Big are 3rd to leave, and it’s Flight’s birthday. Big Easy says they should stop in the Red Light District. “We can head down there and say we stopped to use the internet.” Then Pinky & the Dad, and last are Brian & Screechy. Screechy’s mom has some problems with Ericka being married to a white guy, so Brian wants mom to see that they’re a good team. The last two teams don’t make it on the plane.
In Stockholm, the Globetrotters miss the first train and have to catch the next one. Meghan & Cheyne and Sam & Dan arrive, and one from each team has to ride a tall ride and look for an arrow that will point to their next clue. The gay brother (I don’t know which is which) spots it and points it out to Cheyne.
Next the teams have to do a Travelocity Roaming Gnome ring toss. If they ring a cone and there’s a gnome under it, they get their next clue. Both of them get their gnomes right away. Flight & Big ring a couple before finding a gnome.
Pinky & Dad and Brian & Ericka get to the train station, and Pinky & Dad miss the train, while Brian & Screechy make it on. Flight & Big decide to name their gnome. “Louisiana Shorty,” says Flight Time. “That’s ghetto,” says Big Easy.
Brian & Ericka get to the ride, and she spots the arrow. They ring their gnome right away. Gary & Matt get to the ride, and Pinky spots the clue. They also get a gnome fast.
The teams start arriving at the detours. The detours to choose from are Nobel Dynamite and Viking Alphabet. In Dynamite, they fill sandbags to make a bunker, then blow something up, then find a metal box (looks like an ammo can) to find their next clue. In Alphabet, they have to decode a message, then find a Viking, who will give them their next clue. I bet they all choose to blow stuff up. I would. Meghan & Cheyne arrive first to the place where they blow stuff up. Sam & Dan and the Globetrotters are doing the same one. Sam discovers quickly that using the tiny shovels is less efficient than using hands, so he and Dan start using their hands to fill their sandbags. Meanwhile, Brian & Screechy are hiring a cab to lead them, and Pinky & Dad are lost. Sam & Dan finish their bunker and blow something up. They find the ammo can that contains their clue.
Next teams are going to the Bogs Gard Farm, a roadblock that has been on the race before and apparently caused teams a lot of problems. Rolling hay is involved.
Flight & Big finish next, followed by Meghan & Cheyne. Meghan’s mad at Cheyne for not listening to her, and he wants to move on. But their arguing is so mild compared to Ericka’s screeching at Brian most of the time. Pinky & Dad are still lost.
Now the roadblock. Unroll hay bales to find one of seven race flags. There are 186 bales, 7 flags. This farm is also the pit stop. And only one teammate gets to do it. Meghan’s doing this one, and she and Cheyne are not having a good communication day. Sam is doing his, and he and Dan are yell-fighting from across the farm.
Back at the explosive range, Brian & Ericka blow stuff up, and they leave as Pinky & Dad arrive and blow stuff up. Meghan, Dan, and Flight are searching the hay. Dan is freaking out and won’t stop screaming at Sam. Drama queen. Cheyne, meanwhile, is very supportive of Meghan and keeps telling the cameras that Meghan is carrying the team today.
Big Easy is the first to find a flag, and he and Flight Time are the first team to get to the pit stop. Sam is over mumbling about how much he hates Big Easy. Oh, please, let Screechy do this so she doesn’t yell the whole time. Uh-oh, Brian’s doing it. Meghan’s having a breakdown after two hours of digging through hay. Dan is still screaming at Sam.
Meghan finds her flag, and she decides to surprise Cheyne, so she runs over yelling, “I can’t do it anymore!” and as she gets to him, she falls, then pulls the flag out of her pocket. They’re the 2nd team to check in. Brian finds his flag pretty fast, and they are team #3. Sam finally gets his flag, and they are team #4. And now Dan is crying like a baby over the way he was yelling at Sam.
Dad keeps rolling the hay, and after three hours, he finally finds his flag. He and Pinky get to the pit stop, and I just KNOW that Phil isn’t going to send them home, because what a BEAST of a roadblock, and Dad kept going all the way to the end. Phil says, “You are the last team to arrive. I’m sorry to tell you that… the next leg of the race is going to be a tough one.” So they get to stay in the race, and they’ll have a speed bump the next leg. I’m so glad Phil didn’t send them home.
Next week: Ericka screeches, Dan throws a hissy, and the Globetrotters make me laugh.

That roadblock did not just cause problems, it was heinous! I remember watching that season and it was horribly sad for those people who worked on it for like 8 hours. So glad Pinky and Dad are still in it!
