guess who’s back?

Me! Blogging at SRM will resume shortly. We’re behind on our TV watching, but we’re catching up. I should be back to all-out TV blogging next week. Not that there will be any TV about which to blog. Make a deal with the writers already, people!

If y’all want my opinion on GH, here it is: Elizabeth is the most wishy-washy doormat I’ve ever seen, and I’m starting to think she’s too stupid and flaky to deserve Jason. Lucky’s like, “Well, even though I’m not your baby’s daddy, I’ve decided I want to be anyway, so I’m his dad, and I don’t care what Jason says.” Liz is like, “Yeah, ok. You can have him.” But that’s totally retarded, because Jason told Lucky the truth because 1) Sam wouldn’t stop badgering and 2) he couldn’t bear denying that Jake is his son anymore. So Lucky thinks it’s perfectly fine to just decide that Jason’s baby is gonna be his anyway, and Liz decides that Jason doesn’t need to have any say, just decides to tell him after the fact. So yeah. She’s on my last nerve. And Lucky? Jason just needs to off him. He’s got a lot of nerve, walking into Jason’s place and saying, “I’ll pretend to be your baby’s dad, but you have to stay away from him.” Uhhhhhh, why did Jason take that crap from him? And when he told Lucky that at the first sign of Lucky being a giant dillhole, he would take Jake right out of Lucky’s arms, why didn’t he go ahead and say, “Oh, and keep him away from Sam, too, because she watched Jake get kidnapped and also had those guys attack Liz in the park, and because I hate her.” Spumoni is also annoying the crap out of me, because how stupid can you be to not see that Georgie is throwing herself at you? Also, Emily dead? So ridiculous. Alan and Emily in the same year. Why not just get a new actress? Are they gonna do away with all the Quartermaines while they’re at it? Might as well, because the only interesting ones left are Edward and Tracy. Wouldn’t it be funny if Alice turned out to be the killer? Personally, I think they’re gonna make it Coop or that new cop who’s always creeping around people’s houses. What ever happened to Cruz, anyway?

Ok. Re: Beauty and the Geek. I was so pleased with the outcome. Dave & Jasmine have been my favorites for a few weeks. I just couldn’t take Sam’s ridiculous arrogance. And Nicole was nice and all, but she seemed to just tolerate Sam so they could win. I can’t blame her for that. Oh, and what about stupid Will? I just wanted to slap him and tell him to get over himself.

CSI: Horatio… I’m so glad Calleigh finally broke up with her stupid boyfriend. He deserved to be punched in the face.

CSI: NY. Are we ever going to find out the whole 333 thing?

Heroes. We haven’t watched the last two weeks’ episodes yet, but I hate that this week’s ep was the finale. Give the writers DVD royalties already!

I still heart Chuck. Sarah’s being a brat. I am having so much fun watching Adam Baldwin on that show. This week, he wore a t-shirt that had me giggling and loving the man who is quickly becoming my favorite conservative actor: “If guns were outlawed, only outlaws would have guns.” It’s such a simple concept. Why do so many people *not* get that?

House. I’m really annoyed that they kept the plastic surgeon. He bugs the crap out of me. Thirteen’s okay, but she’s so Cameron. I like the other guy, he’s been my favorite. I’m glad that House got rid of Cutthroat B*tch.

I completely lost interest in Bionic Woman. I hope it doesn’t come back after the strike is over, or I’ll feel obligated to watch. There’s just too much of that completely un-buyable Jamie and not nearly enough Katee Sackhoff.

We’ve been watching Bones, but it’s just not as good as the CSIs. I’ll try to snark it, but it’s more of a background show.

I’m sad that tomorrow night is the last Moonlight for who knows how long.

Smallville is better this season than last. Evil Lana is more interesting than Fickle Lana, though the most interesting Lana would be Dead Lana. But what’s the deal with Lois being practically absent this season? When will we be to the point that she’s in every episode? Kill off Lana and make more room for Lois. Kthx.

I adore Pushing Daisies. We’ve missed the last two weeks. Don’t tell me what’s happening.

The Amazing Race. We missed the ep where Jason & Lorena got ousted, but we did see this week when the Bimbos were eliminated. One of them (the younger-looking one) was acting like a total crack ho to the other one, so I’m glad they’re gone.

On DWTS, we didn’t see the elimination of Jennie, nor the final three dancing night. But Marie Osmond as Cotton Candy Incarnate gave me nightmares. That clown makeup she was sporting… egad.

4 Snarkbacks to “guess who’s back?”

  1. T.Paine says:

Aaahhhhh, the pupils dilate, the fist unclenches, the forearm drops down into my lap, the rubber tube snaps loose with a happy twang and I grin like a slobbering idiot after my first mainline hit of pure unadulterated snark in many days.
In other words, welcome back! Hope everyone (especially the pets) is more or less calm and relaxed now after the move, and I hope you’re enjoying your new digs. Can’t wait (well, obviously, I can) for more snark.
    Developing…

Welcome back. Just in time to slack off due to the strike ;-)

I agree with you on Bionic Woman. The cast was dull, dull, dull.

Yes, Pushing Daisies is great - the best writing on TV – hands down, no contest. Though I could do without Ellen Greene singing Cat Stevens (sheesh). I must say I am surprised you like this show so much and have no interest in Ugly Betty. They both have clever, witty scripts and a campy tongue-in-cheek attitude, and a fine cast. Pushing Daisies has a more fairy tale quality – but, at the root, they are about the same thing – the persistence of innocence and virtue in a corrupt world.

Adam Baldwin is great. Last summer I was watching Firefly on DVD with my niece – in a brilliant display of ignorance I said “I don’t know why he doesn’t get more work. I like him a lot more than his brothers.” My nice replied “He’s not one of those Baldwins. That’s probably why you like him”. Clever girl.

I love Mick St. John. He absolutely is so beautiful. And Beth is too. I can’t stand that it is not going to have new episodes soon! What the?
I too love Pushing Daisies. It always reminds me of A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Chuck is good but loses my interest.
Most loved is The Unit and NCIS (no snarky?).

  4. JohnK, no relation says:

I should give you the good news, Bionic woman is as dead as a doornail.
