Another great show you’re probably not watching. If you think soap stars are bad actors, wait ’til you see established Days of Our Lives stars act next to REALLY BAD amateurs. The contrast is striking. This week, the soap-star-wannabes get to play drunk. Last week the actors got to do a “dying dad” scene, complete with a ghost special effect, which didn’t work out so well for most of them. One would think they could at least play drunk . . . ? I think a few of them confused the word “martini” on the script with the word “mary jane”–several of them made Foster Brooks look like Laurence Olivier.

Jimena, the Columbian beauty with tons of baggage (under her eyes), nails it as usual, but she speaks like Tony Montana, and I can only make out about every third word. Bo the hunk with the jack-o-lantern smile is “killed off.” Oh well, back to the pumpkin patch . . .
